Denso Densyl Tape – Anti-Corrosion Protection Tape

Denso Densyl Tape is a heavy-duty, petrolatum-based protective wrapping tape used to protect vulnerable fittings, connections, threads and metal components against moisture, salt and corrosion.

Manufactured from a flexible, non-woven synthetic fabric impregnated with a protective petrolatum compound, Densyl Tape conforms closely to irregular shapes and surfaces, forming a durable, moisture-resistant barrier.

It is particularly useful for vehicles and machinery operating in coastal, off-road, mining, marine and industrial environments, where salt, mud, water and other contaminants can accelerate corrosion of exposed fittings and connections.

Application

Remove loose rust, dirt and other contaminants from the surface before application.

Wrap Densyl Tape around the component, ensuring close contact with the surface and sufficient overlap to provide continuous coverage. Smooth the tape during wrapping to minimise trapped air and gaps.

Application should be appropriate to the component and must not interfere with its operation, movement, inspection, servicing or safety-critical functions.
