Polysiloxane Clear Coat (PSXCLEAR)

This significantly reduces moisture-driven corrosion and the penetration of salts and corrosive contaminants into the underlying coating system.

How PSXCLEAR Works

Standard two-pack topcoats provide a reasonable barrier against corrosion, but their surfaces remain relatively wettable — moisture, salts and grime can penetrate micro-pores and begin attacking the substrate over time.

ENDRUST PSXCLEAR uses advanced polysiloxane chemistry to take surface protection to the next level. The silicone-modified backbone creates a cured film with extremely low surface energy and strong hydrophobic properties. Water beads up and runs off rather than spreading across the surface. Contaminants struggle to find purchase. Cleaning is faster and more effective.

Applied as the final coat over a compatible urethane or epoxy system, PSXCLEAR acts as a sacrificial shield — taking the brunt of environmental attack and extending the life of every coat beneath it.

Application Method

PSXCLEAR is a two-pack product mixed at 4 parts base : 1 part hardener by volume. Allow 5 minutes reaction time before applying.

Best applied by airless or HVLP spray. Apply as a mist coat first, allow 10–15 minutes tack time, then apply the full coat wet on wet to achieve the required 100 micron WFT (40 micron DFT).

Important: Due to the high silicone content, PSXCLEAR cures extremely hard. Recoating after 12 hours requires sanding to achieve mechanical adhesion. Do not apply below 5°C or above 85% relative humidity.
